Tale of Tales: the Art of Indie Games
ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Roma Game Dev community, in collaboration with the Ex Machina collective, is pleased to announce a unique and unmissable event for all independent video game enthusiasts. On March 26, at 6:30 pm, at the cultural space Zalib - Circolo Arci (via della Penitenza 35, Trastevere), we will have the pleasure of hosting Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn, founders of the legendary development studio Tale of Tales, pioneers and symbols of creative independence in the international video game industry.
With the mediation of Federico Simonetti (philosopher, expert in video game culture and founder of Ex Machina) and through an open dialogue with the public, we will explore their extraordinary career, their approach to the creation of video games as an art form and their commitment to an artistic production free from the dictates of the market.
The event is free with Arci card.

Tale of Tales
Founded in 2003 by Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn, both artists by training, it was among the very first studios to have created independent video games on an international level, intended as works that redefine the boundaries between art and video games. Titles such as The Endless Forest, The Path, Fatale and Sunset have offered deep and poetic interactive experiences, exploring complex themes such as memory, desire and identity. Despite exiting the commercial market in 2015, Tale of Tales continues to inspire the independent industry around the world, demonstrating that artistic creation can be a form of cultural resistance.
