MetaHuman 5.6: Parametric Bodies and Adaptive Clothing with Genera Studio
With the release of Unreal Engine 5.6, MetaHuman Creator takes a big leap forward: it is now fully integrated into the editor and supports parametric bodies, meaning you can continuously adjust height, proportions, and body shapes.
The most impressive update? Clothing now adapts automatically.
This magic is made possible thanks to Genera Studio, the browser-based platform by Genera Labs designed for creating game-ready clothing.
In just a few clicks you can design an outfit, export it as FBX with baked textures, and import it into Unreal, ready to fit any parametric MetaHuman.
In the new workflow you’ll learn how to:
Set up a project in Unreal 5.6 with the MetaHuman plugin
Export body and garments for rigging in Blender
Transfer skin weights (automatically or manually)
Set up materials with packed maps
Create Clothing Assets, Outfit Assets, and Wardrobe Items that resize together with the character
