The Godot Engine community returns to celebrate the best projects created with the open source engine most loved by independent developers. Applications are officially open for the Godot 2026 Showreel, the annual collection that highlights games, applications, and tools created with Godot by developers from around the world.

Every year, the showreel represents much more than a simple video compilation: it is a snapshot of the state of the Godot ecosystem, an international showcase that showcases the talent, creativity, and variety of projects developed using open source technology. From indie video games to interactive applications, through professional tools and innovative experiments, the final video becomes a point of reference for the global community.

Interested developers can submit their projects through the dedicated showreel portal, following the guidelines published by the Godot team. Both previously published projects and works still in development are eligible to participate, thus offering an important opportunity for visibility to emerging teams and independent creators.

One of the new features confirmed for this edition concerns the selection process. Members of the Development Fund with an active recurring donation will be able to participate in the voting phase alongside the project maintainers, directly contributing to the selection of content that will be included in the official showreel. This initiative further strengthens the link between platform development and community engagement.

There are two deadlines to mark in your calendar:

  • Applications close: October 1, 2026

  • Voting period: October 2–16, 2026

For those seeking inspiration, the Godot team invites you to consult the showreels of previous editions, a collection that highlights the technical and artistic evolution of a constantly growing community.

In a sector where visibility is increasingly important, initiatives like this represent a concrete opportunity to showcase your work to an international audience. If you are developing a video game, a tool, or an interactive project with Godot, this could be the right opportunity to showcase your talent and help tell the future of the open source ecosystem.
