Meet the Speaker: Dr. Carlos Pereira Santos - Professor of AI - BUas

Carlos is a Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Professor with a specialized focus on Al, Games, and Virtual Productions, currently applying his Al and Mixed Reality expertise to innovative projects that bridge Film, VP, & lmmersive Media.
His work enhances storytelling, immersive experiences, and production workflows, integrating Al-driven solutions within VP environments.

Presentation abstract:

The AVENUE project is a pan-European initiative aimed at addressing skill gaps in the creative visual industries, including Animation, Games, Virtual Production (VP)/VFX, XR, and Visual Storytelling.
It involves five ecosystems collaborating to enhance vocational training, foster innovation, and support sustainable practices through industry-relevant research and tailored educational programs.
