Unreal Engine 5.6 Preview
Epic Games has released the Unreal Engine 5.6 Preview, now available via the Epic Games Launcher, GitHub, and Linux.
This update introduces major improvements across performance, animation, development tools, and mobile support.
Highlights include:
Support for high-fidelity open worlds at 60Hz, ideal for next-gen consoles.
The largest-ever update to animation authoring tools.
Full integration of the MetaHuman Creator into the engine.
A revamped Content Browser 2.0 and improved viewport interface.
Enhanced procedural workflows for faster world-building.
Optimizations for Android and iOS development (lighter builds, Lumen lighting, Vulkan and Metal support).
WARNING: As this is a preview version, it is recommended to use it for testing purposes only and not in production environments.
