SODA – Sorrento Digital Art Festival

SODA – Sorrento Digital Art Festival was born as a new point of reference dedicated to digital culture, contemporary art, and the dialogue between creativity, technology, and the local area. The festival will be held on March 27 and 28, 2026, in Sorrento, at the Teatro Tasso, in the heart of the historic center, and will bring an event with a strong international vocation to Southern Italy.

SODA is conceived as a meeting space open to digital artists, designers, creatives, students, professionals, and enthusiasts interested in understanding how digital technologies are transforming the way we create, communicate, and work. The program unfolds over two days of conferences, meetings, and networking opportunities, with international speakers from diverse fields such as digital art, design, architecture, motion, technology, and visual culture.

The conference will be held entirely in Englishto allow participation from all over the world and foster open and inclusive discussion. Conferences, by their very nature, are special places: spaces where you can expand your network, meet potential collaborators or employers, learn new things, and stay aligned with today's market demands. SODA was born precisely with this function, creating a stimulating and concrete context for those who work or want to work in the creative industry.

The choice of Southern Italy is not accidental. It is a region that has always exported talent, professionals who find opportunities abroad and contribute to the growth of the global creative industry. SODA wants to offer these people the opportunity to celebrate and share their industry even at home, building a bridge between those who work abroad and those who operate locally, in a place that unites identity, culture, and international openness.

The project is spearheaded by Matteo and Fabio, co-founders and curators of the festival. Matteo comes from the world of digital design and has worked for years within a company specializing in real estate marketing. An architect by training, he has a cross-disciplinary skill set that allows him to work across different disciplines, from design to communication, to digital content production. At SODA, he oversees the artistic direction and development of the cultural program.

Fabio currently works in Saudi Arabia, managing sales and business development in the creative sector, with a background of over twenty years of international experience gained abroad. He has worked on projects in areas such as fintech, real estate, e-commerce, automotive, and digital products. At SODA, he is responsible for the strategic vision, general organization, and coordination of the festival.

Together, Matteo and Fabio imagined SODA as a concrete, international, and accessible event, designed to build real connections and give value to the contemporary creative community.
