Rokoko Smartgloves II: pre-orders open for the new generation of finger tracking
Rokoko has announced the opening of pre-orders for the new Smartgloves II, the evolution of its solution dedicated to hand and finger motion capture.
The launch marks a significant upgrade compared to the previous generation, with a declared focus on precision, connection stability and operational autonomy.
Complete hardware re-engineering
The Smartgloves II maintain the ergonomic design already known to users, but introduce a completely redesigned internal architecture.
Among the technical specifications communicated:
Capture rate up to 250 Hz, designed for high-speed applications and for greater fidelity in tracking micro-movements.
New TCP protocol for a more stable and reliable WiFi connection.
50% increased battery life, with an improved thermal management system.
Advanced sensor fusion, designed to reduce drift and ensure more stable poses over time.
The stated goal is to offer more precise and consistent finger tracking, reducing the problems typical of inertial systems, such as drift and instability during prolonged movements.
