State of Unreal 2026: all the news arriving on June 17th

Epic Games has announced the return of State of Unreal, the flagship event of Unreal Fest Chicago 2026, which will be livestreamed on June 17 at 10:00 AM ET (9:00 AM CT).

During the presentation, Epic will share updates on its developer tools and services, showcase some of the most interesting projects created by the community, and provide a look at the innovations planned for 2026 and beyond.

Unlike previous editions, this year's event will focus primarily on practical tools and workflows that developers can use every day to build games and interactive experiences. Epic is promising a more hands-on approach, featuring real-world discussions and use cases rather than large-scale live tech demos.

State of Unreal will be part of Unreal Fest Chicago 2026, taking place from June 16 to 18. The event will bring together developers, creators, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements across the Unreal Engine ecosystem.
