Introduction to Game Engine: new CSC laboratory

The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia is now accepting applications for the “Introduction to Game Engine” workshop, part of the Cinecittà project funded by the PNRR and NextGenerationEU. The workshop is dedicated to introducing game engines as fundamental tools for creating real-time content and immersive environments.

Dates, duration and modalities

The workshop will take place online from 18 to 22 May 2026, with an indicative timetable 2:30 PM–6:30 PM, for a total of 20 hours of training.

There are 6 places available. Participation is free and attendance is mandatory. At the end of the course, a certificate of participation will be issued.

What is studied

The course introduces participants to the use of game engines as a working environment for digital production.

The program covers:

  • the interface and structure of a game engine

  • the construction of real-time scenes

  • the management of assets and objects

  • the basics of interactions

  • the first concepts of the production pipeline

Practical training allows you to work directly on simple scenes, learning to organize elements, test content and understand the development flow of a project.

Who is it for

The workshop is open to candidates of age with a high school diploma, interested in digital languages, audiovisuals or the design of immersive environments.

Selection and application

Applications must be submitted online by May 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM, via the platform indicated in the announcement, attaching a CV, document and cover letter.

The selection will be based on the materials submitted and, if necessary, an interview. The commission will assign a score of up to 30/30. The workshop will be activated with at least 5 suitable candidates.
