Imparago: free platform to motivate study

Imparago is a web app designed to support the studies of children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). It wasn't born from a company or a commercial project, but from the direct experience of Davide, a programmer and father of a boy with dyspraxia and dyscalculia. It was precisely by observing his son's daily difficulties that the idea took shape: to build a tool capable of making studying less tiring and more accessible.

The goal is not to replace school or traditional tools, but to support them with a motivational approach, centered on the student and their time.

A concrete pedagogical approach

The heart of Imparago are short study sessions (10–25 minutes), inspired by the Pomodoro Technique but adapted to the needs of children with SLD. Time is not expressed with complex numbers, but through visual elements and encouraging messages. This helps reduce cognitive load and clarify the concept of “beginning–duration–end”.

Each completed session generates a reward (the “Lucen”), which can be converted into real prizes chosen by parents or teachers. In this way, studying stops being just an obligation and becomes an active process, in which commitment is recognized.

Metacognition and the Feynman Technique

One of the most interesting aspects is the “Study Buddy”, a tool that allows children to record voice notes and transform them into structured summaries.

Here a fundamental pedagogical principle comes into play: the Feynman Technique. Explaining what has been learned in simple words helps to truly consolidate understanding. The system does not judge or question, but returns organized and encouraging content, encouraging independent reflection.

Safety, simplicity and inclusiveness

Imparago is designed as a safe space , designed to ensure peace of mind for students and families:

  • does not involve direct interaction between students

  • no advertising or tracking

  • data reduced to the bare minimum

The interface also follows an inclusive logic: simple navigation, immediate feedback, clear visuals and a calm aesthetic that reduces anxiety and distractions. It is not a subsequent adaptation, but a design conceived from the beginning with those who have more difficulties in mind.

A growing project, open to discussion

Currently in beta, Imparago is an evolving project . Its creator emphasizes the importance of discussion with families, teachers, tutors and specialists, to build a tool that is truly useful and consistent with real educational needs.

This openness is a key element: it recognizes that innovation, in the pedagogical field, cannot be individual but shared.

Beyond technology

Imparago is more than just an app: it is an educational project created to put the student at the center, their pace and their way of seeing and experiencing study. It doesn't promise miraculous solutions, but it offers a lighter, more concrete and motivating way of approaching homework.

Precisely this care for the experience of each student makes it a project worth discovering and following with interest.
