Italian Video Game Awards – Games Beyond Entertainment 2025!

Applications are now officially open for the Italian Video Game Awards – Games Beyond Entertainment 2025, a prize that shines a light on video games that go beyond pure entertainment.
The initiative is part of The Power of Play festival, promoted by IIDEA in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro – CTESQUARE and the University of Urbino Carlo Bo.
The core idea is simple but powerful: to recognize the value of video games that tell meaningful stories, support learning in creative ways, or spark deep reflection.
The awards ceremony will take place in Pesaro on October 10, 2025, during the festival – a date to mark for anyone passionate about gaming with a broader, more conscious perspective.
Two awards will be assigned, but the possibilities are endless.
The first, Best in Impact, is dedicated to games that address social, environmental, or cultural issues, and that have the courage to speak to the hearts and minds of players.
The second, Best in Learning, is for titles that make learning a fun, immersive, and perhaps even surprising experience.
